How do I Buy a HUD Home in Dallas Texas?

We must get this out of the way first. HUD homes are initially offered on a priority basis to owner occupant purchasers; following the priority period, unsold homes are made available to investors.

If your bid is accepted you will be given a settlement date, normally within 30-60 days, by which you need to get financing and close the sale of the HUD home, or lose your earnest money deposit, or you may pay for an extension of your sales contract.
